Connie Belford
Business Manager
Connie has been delivering wealth management services since the firm’s Grand Opening on July 21, 2008. Launching her business career as Executive Assistant to the Director of an international non-profit agency in Orlando, she joined Susan’s prior firm, Spraker, Fitzgerald, Tamayo and Moisand, LLC in 2004 as a receptionist. Growing in the firm to become the primary Client Services Coordinator for Susan, she gained valuable experience opening new accounts, performing portfolio account cashiering functions, transfers, and administration. After 3½ years, she was recruited by Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. to work in the Orlando Operations Center. As a leader on the Institutional Service Team for investment advisors in the New York metro area, Connie specialized in new advisor relations, complex cashiering functions, estate issues and escalations. She also served as a mentor for new hires and became known for rapid resolution of client account matters.
Connie’s relationship and experience with Schwab have proven to be an invaluable aspect of her service for clients of Spraker Wealth Management. Coordinating not only the firm’s internal business functions, including the website, compliance, supplies, equipment and technology, Connie is in charge of all aspects of new and existing client account administration, assisting clients with any number and manner of service requests. On a personal note, Connie’s father and mother served in the US Navy, where they met and married. Connie was born in Bermuda and grew up in California and Washington State. After taking a long sabbatical to parent four sons, she is finally studying again to attain her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Interests include car trips, music, movies, museums, cooking, camping, hiking, and she is a low handicap putt-putt golfer.
John West, MBA
Senior Financial Analyst
John’s primary focus is to partner with clients to design and help implement strategies that meet each client’s individual financial planning goals. He specializes in tax planning and social security. A member of the Investment Committee, John is the lead analyst for individual bonds, bond funds, small cap stocks, real estate, and commodities research. With 7 years’ experience in the financial industry as a Series 7 licensed Financial Analyst and Portfolio Manager for a hedge fund and almost 20 years of personal investing, his desire to work with clients on a personal level led him to join Spraker Wealth Management in July of 2009. John enjoys the opportunity to interface directly with clients through email, telephone conversations and personal meetings – whatever the client prefers.
John earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Stetson University in DeLand, FL with a minor in Business Law and Information Systems. He received his MBA from the University of Florida and is now completing the coursework for the CFP® certification.
John is a true Floridian, growing up “on the water” in Southwest Florida. At 10, he learned to sail, competing in races all over the state. Years later during weekends and summers, he taught children and adults, including the handicapped, how to sail. Other hobbies include tennis, golf, running and regularly competing in races. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Dawn, and their dog, a Westie named Coco.
Kyron Harold
Jr. Financial Analyst
Kyron provides client portfolio data maintenance, monitors outside retirement account securities and cash flows, troubleshoots client portfolio data, and produces quarterly reports. He specializes in firm metrics analysis and leads the firm’s ongoing investment model analytics. As a member of the Investment Committee, Kyron researches and evaluates securities for clients, spearheading all large cap stock, and large cap, mid cap and foreign mutual fund research. Other activities include placing trades, client account reconciliation, performing ongoing research, and assisting in the preparation of client financial plans.
While completing his B.A. in Finance, Kyron interned with a wealth management firm where he assisted financial advisors in investment research and provided day-to-day operational support by updating and reconciling client account positions. This allowed him to quickly step into the Analyst position at Spraker Wealth Management.
Kyron graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008 from The University of Central Florida. His minor was International Business. While at UCF, Kyron was a member of the Burnett Honors College, a program for select students to pursue advanced studies. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, his parents moved the family to the Central Florida area in 1994 so that he and his brothers could obtain a college education. Kyron is a movie aficionado and enjoys listening to music. He is also an avid soccer fan and attended the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
